Grazing & Land Management Services
Backwoods Grazing Services LLC provides targeted goat and sheep grazing for natural vegetation management and land restoration. Our herds quietly work through overgrowth and invasive plants, offering a low-impact, chemical-free way to bring balance back to the land.
Every site has its own story, so we take time to evaluate each project individually to make sure goat and sheep grazing is the right fit for the landscape and its long-term health.

Grazing uses livestock to naturally manage vegetation.
Our animals
We use Kiko goats and Katahdin sheep because they are hardy, low-maintenance grazing animals well-suited for vegetation management. Kikos are efficient browsers that target brush, weeds, and woody growth, while Katahdin hair sheep are effective grazers that focus on grasses and a wide range of broadleaf weeds. Together, they provide balanced and thorough site coverage with minimal impact to soil.
-
Grazing is not a one-size-fits-all solution. We do not provide mowing or landscaping services, and not every property is suitable for grazing. We’ll always be honest about whether goats and/or sheep are the right option.
